{NOTE: Although I have not found this particular marriage entry in the Old Parish Registers for
      So. Ronaldsay, I am inserting the below marriage "entry" information as deduced from my
      own research.  The civil birth register for the 2nd child [son James] of James Laughton and
      his wife, Jane Gunn, in 1855, states that James Laughton and Jane Gunn married in the
      South Parish of So. Ronaldsay in the year 1851 [no date of the marriage was given - only
      the year of marriage].  On 2nd October 1850, the Rev. John Gerard (who became Minister
      of South Ronaldshay and Burray in 1815) died, and I think that maybe this put the complete
      recording of some life events [births, marriages] for the years 1850-1851 in jeopardy, with
      possibly some data missing from the registers.  This could be why I cannot find the actual
      marriage entry for James Laughton and Jane Gunn in the Old Parish Registers for 1851(?).
      At any rate, I found the civil death register for this James Laughton, and this register stated
      that he was 'Married 1st to Elizabeth GRAY, 2nd to Jane GUNN'  [James Laughton died in Leith].
      Plus, the South Ronaldsay and Burray 1851 Census, enumerated approximately at the end of
      March, 1851, has James Laughton at the South Parish Household of #22, Orally, as a 'Widower'.
      And around the end of April, 1853, James Laughton and his 2nd wife, Jane Gunn, experienced
      the birth of their 1st child, who was called Elizabeth Gray Laughton.}
